![]() ![]() ![]() So how do I get iTunes to recognize the text UTF-8 information for my XLD created WAV files, as it currently does not? The Teac HR audio player does not display artwork for any type of music file. However I have a question about UTF-8 encoding, how do you get iTunes to recognize it, since you claim it can? For example the Teac HR audio player update Mac Version 1.0.0.1 added support for display of UTF-8 (Unicode) character encoding to automatically add titles and artist names of WAV files, before the update it had to be added manually just as it has to be done in iTunes. Thanks, yes Foobar 2000 on a PC does completely read all the information including album artwork in my WAV files created by XLD whereas iTunes on my Mac Mini does not, as I said it displays nothing except the file name under the name field, all other fields are blank in iTunes. iTunes will handle the tags in these formats which should and, in my opinion, do sound identical to WAV. ![]() ![]() The simple solution is to use AIFF or ALAC with iTunes. (The reader should ignore Teresa's comments about UTF-8, which is a character encoding that iTunes, of course, can handle.) The problem is that, although XLD definitely will embed text and image tags in WAV, iTunes ignores the tags whereas some other software will read and display them. ![]()
